Just stopping in to share some of my own kids in their Christmas best! We decked them out in blue and rushed to our spot to catch that yummy golden light that only happens just before sunset.
I don’t often share pictures of my own family here, but I thought I’d share these with you all. Earlier this summer we had the opportunity to head up to Northern PA and stay at my family’s cabin. The weather up there is a few weeks behind ou weather here, so while we were there blueberries were still in season! We found a local farm with a great big blueberry patch (blueberry patch? Or is it blueberry field? Whatever it is technically, there were a whole bunch of blueberry bushes and tons of blueberries ripe for the picking!) My kids had so much fun! I thought we’d have a bunch of blueberries for the freezer to enjoy this winter, but apparently I underestimated the amount of blueberries these two little creatures can suck down in a week’s time! We will be back next year and we will be filling many more buckets!
I can’t believe I forgot to share this session with you! For my son’s two year session back in March I decided to do a paint session. He’s a spunky little guy and I though paint would get him to stay put a little better than just trying to get him to look at me and smile, and boy was I right! He loved every minute of this session, and I did too!
I normally only shoot studio sessions for babies up to the age of 12 months, however this little paint session was so much fun that I would love to do it again with your little guy or gal! Email me at jeni@flowertreephotography.com if you are interested in a Paint Mini Session!
This week’s theme for the 52 week project I am participating in with the Lancaster Meet Up group is “fools.” Really, there are two fools here. My son who is acting like a fool and me, thinking that dressing them all up would make them actually put their arms around each other, look at me and smile. They have got “photographer’s child syndrome” bad!

In reality I did get some shots with good cooperation (these two will do anything for chocolate.) I will share those with you as soon as I am done editing the session!
What a beautiful week full of gorgeous weather we had last week! Perfect timing for Project 52′s “spring” theme. My little guy turned two this week and thanks to going past his due date (March 19) he was a spring baby instead of a winter baby
So he gets the spotlight this week. Here he is enjoying the spring weather in the new sandbox he got for his second birthday. Gosh I love this kid! Happy Birthday little man!
The very fitting theme for this week’s Project 52 was “romance.” I wanted to do this shot with an adult woman instead of my little one so it fit the theme better (my 3 year old better not have any romantic feelings towards any boys yet!) but I didn’t have a model. I also thought about making my husband do it, but thought that might look a little strange too. So here you have it. Check out the Lancaster County Meetup’s Flickr group for more takes on this week’s theme.
