This week’s theme for the 52 week project I am participating in with the Lancaster Meet Up group is “fools.” Really, there are two fools here. My son who is acting like a fool and me, thinking that dressing them all up would make them actually put their arms around each other, look at me and smile. They have got “photographer’s child syndrome” bad!

In reality I did get some shots with good cooperation (these two will do anything for chocolate.) I will share those with you as soon as I am done editing the session!

This week’s theme for the 52 week project I am participating in with the Lancaster County Meet Up group is “excitement.” I figured with having a little guy here for a cake smash, I was bound to get some shots of him being excited over his cake. Turns out he was way more excited about the carrots I gave him for his Easter bunny shots

More from his first birthday session coming up!

What a beautiful week full of gorgeous weather we had last week! Perfect timing for Project 52′s “spring” theme. My little guy turned two this week and thanks to going past his due date (March 19) he was a spring baby instead of a winter baby
So he gets the spotlight this week. Here he is enjoying the spring weather in the new sandbox he got for his second birthday. Gosh I love this kid! Happy Birthday little man!

This week’s theme for my 52 week project is “underneath.” I wasn’t sure what I was going to do for it until I saw it was going to be in the 70′s today. I packed the family up and we headed to the park where I had my husband give the kids a few “underdogs” on the swings. Ah…sweet childhood! My husband was dressed a little more “portrait-like” before we left, but he used his long sleeved shirt to wipe the water off of the slides from last night’s rain. He was a hero to all, so I will forgive him for his t-shirt

Here we are at week 9 of the 52 week project I am participating in with the Lancaster County Meet Up group. This weeks theme was “vegetables.” So exciting, right? I strive to always have a person incorportated with the theme (I am after all a portrait photographer) so as soon as I saw the theme I knew what I wanted to do. Luckily this little guy was scheduled for his cake smash this week and his mama let me have a little fun
You will be seeing more of him in a future post.

This week’s theme for my 52 week project that I am doing with the Lancaster County Meet Up Group is “self portrait.” I knew I wanted to do some type of reflection shot, simply because I do not have a remote shutter release for my camera and I didn’t think trying to do a self portrait with the self timer would end well. So as I thought of all of the different reflective surfaces I could use, my husband’s “cop shades” seemed the most interesting.
I like this shot because it shows our two different personalities quite well. This is my husband’s happy face. It’s also his sad, mad, tired, annoyed, surprised and serious face. You look at him and can never quite be sure what he’s feeling. Then there’s me. You can read me like a book.

The very fitting theme for this week’s Project 52 was “romance.” I wanted to do this shot with an adult woman instead of my little one so it fit the theme better (my 3 year old better not have any romantic feelings towards any boys yet!) but I didn’t have a model. I also thought about making my husband do it, but thought that might look a little strange too. So here you have it. Check out the Lancaster County Meetup’s Flickr group for more takes on this week’s theme.

This week’s challenge at www.iheartfaces.com is “hearts.” What an appropriate challenge for Valentine’s Day! My entry is of this sweet newborn. We’ve got hearts on the wall, heart buttons on her hat, and candy hearts on the floor! And I’m pretty sure she’s already stolen her daddy’s heart
