Sweet Baby J arrived much earlier than his mama anticipated. I guess he just wanted to make his debut a few weeks early! But because of being a preemie and having to spend some extra time in the hospital, we did not get together to do his newborn photos until right around his actual due date (when he was already 5 weeks old.) Newborn sessions are typically done before a baby reaches 10 days old because after that time they are no longer in that super sleepy stage and are much more sensitive to being touched while asleep, making those sweet sleepy poses more difficult. However, preemies tend to stay as sleepy as a newborn up until around their original due dates. Baby J was no exception. He slept well for us and let us pose him and dress him up like a champ!

I just love these pictures. You did an awesome job. Im glad Baby J stayed asleep for you. We had fun watching you putting him in the poses and taking the pictures. Love all the hats and diaper covers.
